Every single year I wait and wait and wait some more for September - December.
Fall is the beginning to my absolute favorite time of every year. Life is better, crisper, cozier, Hocus Pocus is on TV pretty much every night. I’m in a constant rotation of cooking chilli and pumpkin bread. It’s just fantastic.
This year we opted to be a little more simplified in our fall decor choices. Last year I went a little pumpkin crazy, and while our porch is definitely festive I tried to keep the inside to a minimum.
The goal this year was to achieve the feel in less obvious ways; heavy texture, knits, darker florals, copper tones and raw elements.
I turned around some of the more vibrant books on our shelving to be a little more neutral this time of year and like to add in dark burgundy succulents for an extra richness of color.
GREEN VINES + PUMPKINS
I’m not sure exactly what this vine / floral is but I snagged it from Hobby Lobby and I am loving the feel of it combined with a single pumpkin.
TERRACOTTA & COPPER
NEUTRAL SKULLS EVERYWHERE
HEAVY KNITS & THE PERFECT PILLOW
I snagged a few pieces from the latest Hearth and Hand collection. I’m loving the dark wood, fall stems and dark green vases all together. And that pillow is one of my new favorites, it screams fall and matches our curtains flawlessy.
GREEN VELVET GOODNESS
Okay so technically not Fall Decor because she’ll be joining us full time but this shot just gives me all the fall feels, especially with our cognac and cream pillows sitting on it!
